Job Overview:
The Senior IT Pillar Specialist uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the IT Pillar discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the IT Pillar discipline. They solve complex problems and use their discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior IT Pillar Specialist impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the IT Pillar team and other related teams and ensures that they are working within the appropriate guidelines and policies.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
To support, manage, and administer contracts for Engineering software’s ex. Hexagon, Aveva, Benlay ,Autodesk, AspenTech and other engineering applications services and products globally analyze software licensing agreements, create entitlements summary, and summarize use right information from software agreements
Maintain software installation records
Perform license reconciliation
Respond to internal/external stakeholder queries on software licensing
Interaction with software suppliers, annual renewals, additional procurement, negotiations
Preparation of software installation/setup producers
Periodic trainings sessions to drive awareness to users for optimal license utilization
Monthly license requirement, monitoring, and drive optimal usage of engineering software licenses globally
License server maintenance and management
User license issues resolution and good understanding of all engineering software like Hexagon, Aveva, Bentley, Autodesk
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT supporting EPCI business applications as a lead or administrator
Experience in and understanding of Accounting (P&L, BS, Cash Flow)
Ability to work as a team member as well as act as a team leader
Have wide experience with technical experiences
Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken
Advanced education (i.e., MBA or other master’s level education) preferred but not required
Good in MS Excel and reports development
PowerBi would be an added advantage
