Job Overview:
The Senior Tech Support Specialist completes a variety of Technical Support assignments as needed and can complete work with a limited degree of supervision. They are an informal resource for colleagues with less Technical Support experience. They developed proficiency in a range of analytical processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks. They provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures. They directly impact the quality of the work of the team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Support/Alignment Corporate Functions – Payroll focus
Immediate support resolution for Payroll Processing Issues
Creation of campaigns and recurring Reports from Payroll Systems
Maintain relationships with key Corporate Finance users
Support and test new Business technology/automation demands & needs
Collaborate with other support team members for escalated issues
Support other IT teams on key strategic initiatives such as ERP and other Payroll Products
Comply with IT project execution methodology and controls
Align with corporate functions & IT leadership on vision, goals, and strategy
Communicate project status/support status to all stakeholders
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
ITIL Certification nice to have
2+ years of work experience; work experience can be waived with higher than minimum Degree requirement met
Extensive functional knowledge in the payroll industry
Ability to work as a team member as well as act as a team leader
Have wide experience with technical tools such as ERP, BI, etc.
Maintain key competencies associated with the IT function
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Must be a finance IT SME in process & technical knowledge of Timekeeping systems, General Accounting, Job Cost Accounting, Sub-ledgers, General Ledger, and Close Cycles (month, quarter, year)
Knowledge of Tax, Treasury, Audit, Financial Reporting, Project Accounting, Billing & Revenue a plus
