Job Overview:

The Sustainability Specialist applies their conceptual knowledge of Sustainability with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership and is responsible for solving a range of straightforward Sustainability problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Sustainability Specialist understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Administration of sustainability data management platform (FigBytes) including coordination of data collection, performing quality checks/internal audits

• Data analysis in support of business including creation and maintenance of dashboards (e.g., ITT dashboard, carbon footprint, waste, social)

• Setting and tracking ESG performance, including development of metrics, targets and KPIs

• Train and support data contributors in use of third-party platform (FigBytes)

• Liaise with FigBytes team as required for technical support

• Continual improvement to reporting including streamlining, automation, evaluation of emerging technologies/ software, etc.

• Support reporting team with compilation of data for annual regulatory reporting and disclosures including, but not limited to, annual Sustainability Report, CDP, EcoVadis and EU CSRD.

• Maintenance of sustainability management system (unifi) including documentation updates (e.g., carbon footprint methodology, sustainability reporting guidelines)

• Support business line Sustainability Managers as required in compiling data in support of bids/ proposals, project reporting and presentations.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Science/ mathematics/ engineering/ sustainability-related degree preferred

• Experience in data management and analytics desirable (not essential)

• Preferred location Gurgaon, India

• Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills

• Excellent data management skills, comfortable using digital tools and databases such as excel, SQL tables and Power BI.

• An interest in data analysis and reporting is required

• Flexibility to work across time zones

• Familiarity and/or interest in climate change and social issues and the UN Sustainable Development Goals and how this relates to McDermott’s business

• Fluent English language skills are essential

• Knowledge of GHG emissions calculation and modeling tools is an advantage

• Willingness to learn
