Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
The AWS Supervisor/Leaderman/Foreman’s responsibilities included (but not limited to):
Oversees the welding equipment maintenance, installations, repair and upgrades to automated welding and support systems
Use Automatic Welding System when required
Follow Project and operation QA/QC requirements and parameters during different types of welding methods
Oversee troubleshooting on welding and support equipment and determine required corrective actions
Oversee various pipe fit ups
Oversee project(s) materials
Ensure working risk material, or material that could be damaged by sparks, slag etc. are cleared from the work site and protected
Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety Standard and work practices
Ensure that all activities are undertaken in accordance with all safety and quality requirements
Knowledge of DP vessel operations
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Knowledge and experience in offshore construction industry with previous experience in a similar role
Degree in Technical or Mechanical engineering
Trade certificate in AWS and Welding
Valid Offshore Medical
BOSIET Training or Equivalent (OPITO approved)
Fluent both in spoken and written english
