McDermott Crane Operator in Houston, Texas

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Operate MWB Derrick Cranes for the following operations:

  • General deck lifting

  • Pipe lifting

  • Working subsea with diving personnel on various lifts

  • Jacket lifting, horizontal/vertical/upending

  • Topside deck lifts and associated packages

  • Piles

  • Pile driving hammers

  • Internal Lifting Devices (ILT)

  • Single Buoy Moorings (SBM)

  • Various other components associated with operations

  • Operate cranes by way of radio communications or hand signals, if applicable

  • Responsible for maintaining safe crane operations as per company and manufacturers procedures/guidelines within the crane’s capabilities

  • In conjunction with E & M Personnel, perform daily checklists on equipment and report faults to Supervisor

  • Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety standards and Work practices

  • Following all company policies and procedures, and ensuring subordinates do the same.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in offshore construction industry operating cranes

  • High school graduate

  • Valid Crane Operators Certificate
