McDermott Director Supply Chain Management - NCSA Region in Houston, Texas

Title: Director Supply Chain Management - NCSA Region

Location: USA-Texas-Houston

Job Overview:

Responsible for the overall execution of the Subcontractors for NCSA Projects Execution. Responsible for the staffing, deliverables, budgets, close-out of all projects associated with the NCSA Region. Staffing would include the task force (on project) team (Home Office and Field). Staffing to support Commercial Proposal Packages including Estimates, FEEDs. Staffing, Training & Development, Talent Reviews, Evaluations of the NCSA SCM Leads. Provide inputs to NCSA NSCM Budgets. Coordinate with Corporate SubContracts for Local and Global Master Service Agreements and strategy.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Recognize and communicate items of concern and other project issues to project team

  • Resolve subcontract related project issues

  • Ensure compliance with Subcontract procedures

  • Provide training, mentoring, and coaching to staff

  • Provide Employee Performance Management input

  • Support staff in obtaining goals and objectives

  • Execute work in accordance with senior management's goals and objectives

  • Responsible for ownership of commercial relationships

  • Communicate procedural requirements to the project team

  • Advanced knowledge of safety standards and practices

  • Proficient knowledge of the entire project cycle from proposal through commissioning

  • Expert ability to lead and manage subcontract activities for large, high risk projects

  • Expert ability to manage Subcontract Management personnel (e.g., training opportunities, coaching, mentoring, situational leadership, consideration of concerns, value the individual, etc.)

  • Advanced ability to take ownership of issues and seek resolution

  • Advanced ability to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely in written and oral forms at all levels of the client, subcontractor, and other organizations

  • Expert ability to assign priorities to staff

  • Proficient knowledge of roles and responsibilities of staff

  • Advanced ability to communicate to Subcontracts Regional Director

  • Advanced ability to take initiative

  • Expert ability to organize personal work, manage time and prioritize activities

  • Advanced ability to assign staff work assignments based on roles and responsibilities, priorities, and staff skillsets

  • Advanced ability to articulate project-specific goals and overall company and client objectives to subcontractors and staff

  • Advanced ability to work within a matrix organization

  • Advanced ability to take ownership of commercial relationships

  • Advanced ability to ensure delivery of quality products

  • Proficient knowledge of negotiation techniques

  • Advanced ability to conduct negotiations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Minimum 15 years of total experience

  • Proven communication skills verbal, written and presenting

  • Stable job history and ability to work in team environment

  • Previous EPC experience
