Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible person in charge of above deck operations crew, and other support vessels assigned within spread

  • As McDermott representative, supervise the overall safe installation of the project as specified and determined in the Project Installation Procedure, liaise with offshore operations and PMT, daily to ensure continuity of works and to report on progress

  • Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety Standards and Work Practices

  • Be familiar with the contents of the offshore operations HSES procedures and ensure that all supervisory personnel are also aware of the procedures

  • Responsible for following the instructions and responsibilities within the Emergency Response Procedures and advising crews of their responsibilities

  • Ensure all McDermott Offshore Operations Procedures are followed

  • Following all company policies and procedures, and ensuring subordinates do the same.

  • Chair interface meetings/pre shift meetings with all shift supervisors to discuss planned events, and to ensure regular lines of communications are adhered to by all supervisors to maximize safety/efficiency/productivity

  • Ensure manning levels are maintained for safe operations of the projects

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 15 years experience in offshore construction industry

  • High school graduate

  • OIM or OVM Certificate/Training/DP Awareness
