Title: Senior Manager Supply Chain (Analytics & BI)

Location: USA-Texas-Houston

Job Overview:

The position is responsible for driving and delivering strategy/execution of McDermott’s SCM Analytics, Business Intelligence (BI) and SCM global cross-functional reporting. This individual applies and integrates statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling and business analysis skills to manage and manipulate complex high volume data from a variety of sources.

This role provides critical deliverables to the global SCM Leadership Team (SCM LT) and will work closely with the SCM Systems, IT, Projects and Finance organizations. This individual will be primarily expected to identify business reporting requirements and deliver automated global dashboards (models advanced methods of combining charts, maps, timelines and infographics into comprehensible dashboards; may create visualizations of complex relationships and big data sets in a user-friendly and easy-to-understand way to facilitate business decision making).

This person will develop a roadmap to implement SCM Analytics and BI strategy in line with the objectives of the organization. He/ she will deliver new and innovative solutions to address business challenges and accelerate achievement of Enterprise and SCM Functional objectives by identifying areas of improvement and providing the insight necessary for optimizing supply chain cost, resources, strategy and processes by means of analytics and BI.

KeyResponsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Drive strong strategic innovation in the areas of BI, ArtificialIntelligence (AI) and Analytics.

  • Formulate statistical or machine-learning approaches to analyze datato generate insights to improve performance with respect to the business issues.

  • Prototype machine learning model, present findings directly toexecutive stakeholders and deploy models to drive value.

  • Support the business through provision of Business & Marketintelligence, Performance metrics and BIsolutions to deliver and exceed targets.

  • Support SCM LT to set ambitious achievalbe targets on Cost, Delivery,Safety and Quality.

  • Develop scope, identify solution and implement consolidated global SCMreporting to replace current legacy dashboards.

  • Work with internal clients to understand the business needs andobjectives, and devise solutions in areas of BI, Artifical Intelligence (AI)and analytics that will deliver results.

  • Clearly define and quantify the value to bedelivered through advanced analytics and BI initiatives.

  • Lead the SCM Analytics and BI efforts in alignment with McDermott’spolicies, strategies and objectives in collaboration with the SCM Systems team.

  • Enhance SCM function’s current capability in strategic data-drivendecision making to optimize cost of Supply Chain, and improve supplierperformance.

  • Identify opportunities for major operational cost reduction and equipthe SCM function with enriched business intelligence to deliver significantsavings to company’s bottom line.

  • Identify business and resource needs to provide advanced analytics,data solutions and BI.

  • Provide analytical support, business and market insightto Global and Regional Supply Chain Management teams.

  • Provide data driven business insights, recommend/ supportdeveloping new metrics and deliver recommendations for improvement.

  • Provide Business and Market insight to support to the Global BusinessUnits, Regional Business Units, Categories, and Projects on Cost, Delivery,Quality and Safety.

  • Proactively look for ways to innovate and evolve the analyticscapabilities and capacities to be best in class including but not limited todashboard enhancements and predictive analysis

  • Anticipate and drive changeby understanding the long-term SCM needs and advise/support developing systems, databases, digital solutions to support the needsof a developing organization.

  • Present and report on agreed performance indicators and objectives andinitiate individual and collective actions to improve where needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10years working experience with ample knowledge of Oil & Gas EPCI andFabrication Industry.

  • Degreein Engineering, Construction, Computer Science or Supply Chain. Advanced degree(e.g. MBA or MS in Analytics) is preferred.

  • Extensivefunctional, business, IT, industry and leadership expertise.

  • StrongFunctional knowledge of SCM business processes and best practices.

  • LeanSix Sigma and/or SCM certifications are preferred.

  • WorkingKnowledge of multiple analytics tools required; Python, R, SQL.

  • Hands-onexperience with BI or digital analytics tools (i.e. Tableau).

  • Leader,manager, highly motivated self-starter.

  • Strategicpartner to internal clients.

  • StrongProject Management skills, organizational change management experience isdesirable.

  • Strongpresentation skills.

  • Abilityto consolidate and package insights, analytic outputs, and action itemsinto well-organized, consumable packages.

  • Abilityto translate analysis insights into actionable recommendations and strategies.

  • Abilityto explain/present complicated analytical methodology and digital innovation tointernal clients.

  • Multilingualwritten/verbal communications skills are strongly preferred.

  • Abilityto travel up to approximately 40% of the time.
