Title: Chief Business Development Specialist

Location: USA-Louisiana-Lake Charles

McDermott is seeking Pipe fabrication business development lead for its gulf coast region fabrication plants. This position is responsible for managing the business development function and strategy for its pipe fabrication business segment in US gulf coast ; responsible for developing the business plan and leading the fabrication sales to meet the vision and strategic goals of the fabrication product Line. Maintain constant awareness of customer needs, Focus on target accounts that have a major strategic impact on the long-term success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Works with marketing, sales, and product developmentteams to implement business development initiatives.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, andprocedures within a particular field.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan andaccomplish goals.

  • Performs a variety of tasks.

  • Works under general supervision.

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude isrequired.

  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

  • Introduce the firm’s pipefabrication services to prospective clients. Ensure decision makersunderstand the benefits of the company services.

  • Responsible for building apipeline of project opportunities.

  • Develops and maintainsrelationships with Engineering Firms, Owners and Developers to ensurefuture partnerships.

  • Identifies, qualifies and securesnew business opportunities through personal networks and marketingresearch.

  • Works closely with Executive Teamto assess opportunities and confirms that the type of work fits company’sbusiness model and risk profile.

  • Requires a bachelor's degree inbusiness, finance, marketing or engineering.

  • Typically has 10 to 25 years of relevant experience.
